Virginia

Virginia has a daily inmate population of approximately 24,000 offenders and up to 70,000 people behind bars each year. In turn, the state has one of the highest incarceration rates, reaching 749 per 100,000 people in 2019. The inmates reside in state correctional facilities, federal prisons, city and county jails, community corrections, and youth involuntary commitment. Whereas juvenile offender records are confidential in Virginia, family and friends can use online offender search tools to locate adult offenders in the Virginia prison system. Check out the various search options available below: -

Virginia Jail Roster Search

Virginia has 71 jails in its 133 counties detaining anyone violating local or state laws in Virginia. These jails serve as the primary holding facilities for Police Departments and Sheriff's Offices in the region. More so, law enforcement agencies maintain elaborate jail rosters and make them available on their official websites or offline at the jail lobbies. A typical jail roster has the offender demographics, arrest and booking information, and custody details. You need at least the offender's name and booking number to conduct a Virginia jail roster search.
